OrBItaly 2026 (Organic Bioelectronics Italy), the 19th edition of the conference, will take place in Lecce, Italy, from 16 to 18 September 2026, in the prestigious setting of Convitto Palmieri.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Building on the success of previous editions, OrBItaly 2026 will bring together the Italian and international community working in the field of bioelectronics, with a special focus on organic materials and devices.
The conference will offer an inspiring forum for the presentation of recent advances and emerging directions at the interface of electronics, photonics, materials science and the life sciences.
It will also promote discussion, exchange of ideas and new scientific collaborations across disciplines.

Welcome Aperitive & Local Craft Beer Tasting
Join us on Wednesday 16 at 6:30 PM at the Convitto Palmieri, for a welcome reception and a tasting of local craft beers from the Salento region, marking the official start of the conference.
Guided Tour of Lecce
Participants are invited to take part in a guided tour of Lecce on Thursday 17 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, exploring the city's unique Baroque architecture and cultural heritage.
Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will take place on Thursday 17 at 8:15 PM at the Villa della Monica, offering participants an opportunity to enjoy local cuisine and continue networking in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The nearest airport is Brindisi -- Salento Airport. Bari Airport is another option with more international connections, but it is farther away. From Brindisi Airport, you can travel to Lecce using the bus service provided by various companies; you can buy your ticket either at the airport or online.
By Train
Lecce is connected by train to the main Italian cities. You can buy a ticket via the Ferrovie dello Stato website.
By Bus
Lecce is connected by bus to the main Italian cities, and there are several companies offering transport services. Once you arrive in Lecce (City Terminal, Piazza Carmelo Bene), the city centre is easily accessible by walking or using the local bus service (SGM).
Walking from stop
Convitto Palmieri is in the historic centre, in Piazzetta Giosuè Carducci. From the main central stops and nearby arrival points, it can be reached on foot, and it's about a 6-minute walk from Lecce station.
